Ontario Kayak Fishing Series 2011 schedule
Consisting of 5 events where any 3 single day event finishes can be used to calculate an individuals point standings towards the Grand Prize.
No series points awarded for Day 2 at Gan, Hali or SR. Each of these events has an optional second day of fishing that will award prizes for the largest sportfish of each species.
South River will have a cash pot for pike that runs both days. Start point is $100 and it is $10 to enter. Last year paid over $300!

Charitable Donations
All listed events use proceeds to help improve local and regional fisheries by donations to fish hatcheries to assist with their fish rearing programs. These hatcheries provide various species to the MNR and private clubs that will then be stocked into lakes ponds, rivers, streams and the Great Lakes throughout Ontario.

2011 Payment Schedule
The Series 5 events - $290(early), $360(after May 15)
Single day events - $45(early), $55(after May 15), $65(the day of)
Two day events - $75(early), $100(after May 15), $120(the day of)
Gananoque is $65(early), $75(after May 15), $95(the day of) BUT, camping is not included and you are responsible for finding your own accommodation.
Early SERIES payment option is available until May 22nd, price then goes to $360.

Swift's Kayak Fishing Festival, in South River Ontario is sure to be a hit in its inaugural year! Aside from the fishing competition, there will be product displays, demos, a pikeral fry, live music and a beer garden. July 24/25-10

Formerly OKFC '09, HKFC will follow the same basic format as last year, with the exception of all 5 lakes(Head, Grass, Kashagawigamog, Soyers and Canning) being included. The Open Division will still be bass only, but with addition of the new lakes. The Muskie division is an additional $10 entry fee and the longest fish over 35" takes the cash pot. August 28/29-10

Bingemans and K-W Oktoberfest all wrapped up in a weekend of kayak fishing and with the OKFS Grand Champion to be crowned at the conclusion of the BOSS event. Polka Time!! We expect a large crowd for this local urban event. Oct 16/17-10

River Smallies will now become a season long event that covers the Grand, Maitland and Saugeen Rivers.
Each person may enter 6 fish total throughout the season, competing for prizes being awarded to the top three combined length entries. To keep it fair; there will be a cap of 5 entry dates per competitor, 2 of 3 rivers must be fished at least once and entries must come from 3 of 6 possible months. June 26-November 30, 2010
